Turquoise Stream, Marble & Frost

"The Evening Shift" :- A very late afternoon shot whilst I was walking miles back to where I'd parked the car. This is looking towards the west as the sun started to dip in the early evening sky.. The angle was just right for it to hit and light up the small tributary of the River Cuckmere in Sussex, England. It gave the entire area an "other worldly" look and feel. An eerie and strange light spread over everything.

"Pulpit Steps" :- This a detail shot of the pulpit inside St Bartholomew's Chruch in the city of Brighton on the south coast of England. St Bartholomew's houses some of the finest examples of church furnishings belonging to the arts & crafts movement during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Henry Wilson (1864 - 1934) produced and executed a scheme of decoration for the church and this pulpit was part of that scheme. It's made out of black, green and red marble and is icy cold to the touch with a set of stone steps set within it that wind up to the top.

"Best Part of the Day" :- Whoever said that early mornings were the best part of the day clearly hadn't experienced that many of them. Through my own experiences early mornings are often cold (whatever time of year), quiet and full of what appear to be the walking dead. This was shot on the 14th January 2012 and it was early morning. You can still see the ground frost in the field to the right, it was toe numbingly cold!
