"Half Milled" :- An unusual capture of "Beacon Mill" overlooking the English Channel on the South coast of England. The windmill was built in 1802 and has over the last century become a very famous landmark in its own right. She can be found on Beacon Hill, a nature reserve that nestles between the ancient villages (they are both listed in the Domesday Book of 1086) of Rottingdean and Ovingdean just a few miles East of Brighton.
"Beach Terrace" :- This is the 1950's built terraces that overlook the sea and beach at Rottingdean, a small historical village near the city of Brighton, England. The area used to be run down, unused, vandalised and littered but recently it's been renovated, cleaned up and turned into a more pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by. During the Summer months they also put on plays and shows there.
"Little House on the Prairie" :- I really didn't think i'd get the chance to capture this shot. We'd driven for hours, taking it in turns that amounted to four hour shifts. We'd entered Romania very early that morning and had already been through Arad, Deva and Sebes. The sun was beginning to lower and dip behind the mountains and I thought that we'd be long gone by the time it put on it's powerful display. Then the traffic backed up and almost ground to a halt and we found ourselves going at a snail's pace. I was watching out the passenger window as golden light started to scatter and light up the clouds, then we spotted a gas station and pulled in. Immediately I grabbed the camera and managed to get across the busy highway and down onto the edge of the Romanian farmland. The crops were reasonably high and catching the light, the clouds were adding to the spectacle and there was a lone, single, low building just where I wanted it to be. Perfection! I am not sure of the exact location where I grabbed the shot but I have a feeling it was somewhere on the road between Sebes and Sibiu.
